The start of  the reborning process
The first thing I do is give the doll sculpt a wash then I leave to soak in baby bath suds. When the sculpt has been taken out and dried I open the the nose to give that appearance of breathing!

I use Genesis heat set paints which will not fad or rub off. I add many thin layers of paint to achieve a transluctant baby skin tone also slight veining, I also add a light texture to the baby's skin which adds realism.  Baby's little fingers and toe nails are sealed with a satin varnish for realism.

For the baby's hair I use RubyRed Nuborn Mohair which is beautiful and soft just like real baby hair!  I micro root 1 to 2 hairs at a time using a 42 star needle which takes many long hours to root then sealed inside with waterproof glue so your baby's hair can be gently washed and styled.

For weighing the baby I use Tendertouch "baby Fat" in the tummy surrounded by  fibre-fill and also a tiny pouch of glass beads,  Ultra glass beads in the limbs, a small pouch of rust free pellets or glass beads surrounded by  fibre-fill in the head which gives that perfect weight to the baby's head!    Weighing is a very inportant part of the reborning process in order to make the baby realistically snuggle into your arms just like a real baby would.

I DO NOT USE SAND IN ANY OF MY BABIES
